Melissa Thompson Millard received her Bachelor of Sciences Degree in Human Development and Family Studies and her Bachelor of Arts Degree in French from Indiana University Bloomington in 2011, where she graduated with highest distinction. 

Ms. Thompson Millard earned her J.D. in 2014 from the University of Cincinnati College of Law, where she graduated magna cum laude and a member of the Order of the Coif. While in law school, she served as a Notes & Comments Editor of the University of Cincinnati Law Review. Her article, JUDICIAL REMEDIES IN ACCESS CASES UNDER THE HAGUE CONVENTION IN CANTOR V. COHEN AND OZALTIN V. OZALTIN, 82 U. Cin. L. Rev. 1005 (Spring 2014), was published in the University of Cincinnati Law Review. Ms. Thompson Millard was also a Fellow of the University of Cincinnati College of Law’s Weaver Institute of Law and Psychiatry.

Ms. Thompson Millard was admitted to the practice of law in Ohio in November 2014 and Kentucky in February 2015.
